Las Vegas Novelties, Inc. (LVNI) was a sex toy manufacturer.[1]

History

Las Vegas Novelties was started in June 1999.[2] It was co-founded by Serenity and Mark Goodman.[1] Serenity purchased Goodman's half of the company in 2001, becoming its sole owner.[1] Steve Lane was the Director of Operations, Robyn Hewitt was the Head of Domestic Sales, and Seth Andrea McCoy was the publicist.[3] The entire company, including its manufacturing and sculpting process, was based in Las Vegas.[4]

Las Vegas Novelties signed many stars to endorsement contracts, which included royalty payments to them from their products.[5]

Las Vegas Novelties was distributed by Mantric Marketing in the United Kingdom,[6] C & L Wholesalers in Australia,[7] and Vixen Direct in New Zealand.[8]

In March 2005, Pipedream Products acquired Las Vegas Novelties.[9]

Products

Jewel De'Nyle, Jacklyn Lick, Angel Veil, and Heather Bankx were the first to sign with Las Vegas Novelties.[5] The company's first products, which were a mold of Serenity's buttocks and six Sensual Feel dildos designed by her and De'Nyle, were released on September 1, 1999.[4] Serenity, De'Nyle, Lick, Veil, and Bankx each designed one neon gelled dildo as well, Serenity's being Kiwi Mint.[2] Additionally, both Serenity and De'Nyle did Pearl Necklace molds, which were replicas of their hands holding their breasts together.[10] The company also did molds of Serenity's feet and of De'Nyle's vagina and buttocks.[4] De'Nyle had a signature Clit Tingler as well.[11]

In November 2000, Las Vegas Novelties released the Lee Stone Signature Series after signing Stone, their first male contract star, to a five-year contract.[12] His signature series included cock rings.[5]

Las Vegas Novelties and Stormy Leather collaborated on two jelly dildo strap-on kits called Sapphic Desire, which included a non-leather harness and a sample tube of Astroglide.[13] The first Sapphic Desire kits were shipped to distributors on June 11, 2001.[13] Serenity and De'Nyle were featured on the kits.[13]

In July 2001, the first items of the Kylie Ireland Signature Series debuted at the Adult Novelties Manufacturers Expo shortly after Ireland signed an exclusive, five-year contract with Las Vegas Novelties.[14] Ireland also designed the Anal Twister for the company, along with Chloe.[15] Chloe also had a mold of her buttocks and a signature fist for the company.[16][17] Chloe, along with Tawny Roberts and Julie Meadows, was part of the VCA line of Las Vegas Novelties.[18] The company molded Roberts for a Foot Fantasy item.[18] Meadows had a signature Pleasure Twister.[19]

On November 7, 2001, Las Vegas Novelties announced their signing of Christi Lake to a five-year contract.[20] The first products from her line became available in February 2002.[20] She also endorsed the company's line of 10-speed Decathlon vibrators, which were available in red, white, and blue.[21]

In January 2002, Las Vegas Novelties signed Michael Stefano.[18] He had his penis molded for an eight-inch dildo.[10] He also had a signature vibrator for the company's Pleasure Twister series called the Michael Stefano F3 7" Vibro Tempest Twister, which was available in purple, blue, and pink.[11] In July 2002, the company signed Ron Jeremy.[17] He had a Sensual Feel replica dong with a multi-speed vibrator.[11] He also had a device called the Ron Jeremy Jurassic Prick, a dinosaur head with a translucent dildo that lit up from within and changed colors, which were blue, purple, and lime green, every few seconds.[22][23] Additionally, Jeremy also had a replica Frozen Pleasure Ice Dong, a dildo with a smooth jelly outer coating that freezes in the middle and becomes firm when placed in a freezer.[24] Alexis Amore was also signed to a contract in 2002, for which Las Vegas Novelties produced the Alexis Amore Micro-gasm Clit Tingler and a fireman-themed vibrator.[25][26] Las Vegas Novelties also released the Vibro Palm Pal, a 4-inch two-speed vibrator, in 2002.[17]

In April 2003, Las Vegas Novelties debuted signature lines for Gauge and Aurora Snow after signing them to five-year contracts.[27] Their products were Gauge and Aurora Snow’s Shower Smoothies, a suction dildo, and the Aurora Snow Purring Pussy, a bullet vibrator within a translucent, cat-shaped vibrator.[22][26]

On May 19, 2003, Las Vegas Novelties released several items, including a computer powered, via USB cable, 10-speed pulsation bullet vibrator called the Matrix Vibe, which was available in red, with De'Nyle as the model, and purple, with Serenity as the model.[11] Amore, Lick, and De'Nyle signature Power Vibe kits featuring a strong slimline vibrator, a glow-in-the-dark sleeve, a bonus sleeve, and a sample of Astroglide Personal Lubricant were also released that day.[11]

Las Vegas Novelties entered a co-branding agreement with Instinctive Seductions to include their massage oils and bath crystals in their Serenity's Sea of Solitude and Jewel's Cuddly Couple kits, which were introduced at the Adult Novelty Manufacturers Expo in July 2003.[28] The former kit included a 10-speed Decathlon Vibe and the latter kit included a Pulsator.[28] Both kits also contained candles, Astroglide lube and Vivid Condoms.[28]

In late 2003, Las Vegas Novelties signed Mike South and Sean Michaels.[29][30] In May 2004, Las Vegas Novelties signed the Official UK Dreamboys.[6] Michaels and the Official UK Dreamboys had Frozen Pleasure Ice Dong replicas.[24]
