Kayden Kross was born in Sacramento, California, [[United States]].<ref name=IAFD/>

At the age of 18, Kayden began to work at "Rick's Showgirls" in Rancho Cordova, California, as stripper to get some money to buy a pony to save it from being slaughtered. Afterwards an agent contacted her and she started to work as a model for erotic magazines. 

Kayden went to the California State University in Sacramento, when she became a contract star for the porn studio Vivid. After a year she didn't extend the contract with Vivid. One month after the contract expired she was signed by the studio Adam & Eve. 

In September 2008, Kayden was charged with grand theft.
