Las Vegas Novelties, Inc. (LVNI) was a sex toy manufacturer.[1]

History

It was co-founded by Serenity and Mark Goodman.[1] Serenity purchased Goodman's half of the company in 2001, becoming its sole owner.[1] Steve Lane was the Director of Operations, Robyn Hewitt was the Head of Domestic Sales, and Seth Andrea McCoy was the publicist.[2] The entire company, including its manufacturing and sculpting process, was based in Las Vegas.[3]

Las Vegas Novelties signed many stars to endorsement contracts, which included royalty payments to them from their products.[4]

In New Zealand, the Las Vegas Novelties catalog was distributed exclusively by Vixen Direct.[5]

In March 2005, Pipedream Products acquired Las Vegas Novelties.[6]

Products

Jewel De'Nyle and Jacklyn Lick were the first to sign with Las Vegas Novelties.[4] The company's first products, which were a mold of Serenity's buttocks and six dildos designed by her and De'Nyle, were released on September 1, 1999.[3] Additionally, both Serenity and De'Nyle did Pearl Necklace molds, which were replicas of their hands holding their breasts together.[7] De'Nyle also had a pocket pussy for the company.[7]

In November 2000, Las Vegas Novelties released the Lee Stone Signature Series after signing Stone, their first male contract star, to a five-year contract.[8] His signature series included cock rings.[4]

Las Vegas Novelties and Stormy Leather collaborated on two jelly dildo strap-on kits called Sapphic Desire, which included a non-leather harness and a sample tube of Astroglide.[9] The first Sapphic Desire kits were shipped to distributors on June 11, 2001.[9] Serenity and De'Nyle were featured on the kits.[9]

In July 2001, the first items of the Kylie Ireland Signature Series debuted at the Adult Novelties Manufacturers Expo shortly after Ireland signed an exclusive, five-year contract with Las Vegas Novelties.[10] Ireland also designed the Anal Twister for the company, along with Chloe.[11] Chloe, along with Tawny Roberts and Julie Meadows, was part of the VCA line of Las Vegas Novelties.[12] The company molded Roberts for a Foot Fantasy item.[12] Meadows had a signature Pleasure Twister.[13]

On November 7, 2001, Las Vegas Novelties announced their signing of Christi Lake to a five-year contract.[14] The first products from her line became available in February 2002.[14] She also endorsed the company's line of 10-speed Decathlon vibrators, which were available in red, white, and blue.[15]

In January 2002, Las Vegas Novelties signed Michael Stefano.[12] He had his penis molded for an eight-inch dildo.[7] That same year, Alexis Amore was signed to a contract, for which Las Vegas Novelties produced the Alexis Amore Micro-gasm Clit Tingler.[16]

In April 2003, Las Vegas Novelties debuted signature lines for Gauge and Aurora Snow after signing them to five-year contracts.[17]

Las Vegas Novelties entered a co-branding agreement with Instinctive Seductions to include their massage oils and bath crystals in their Serenity's Sea of Solitude and Jewel's Cuddly Couple kits, which were introduced at the Adult Novelty Manufacturers Expo in July 2003.[18] The former kit included a 10-speed Decathlon Vibe and the latter kit included a Pulsator.[18] Both kits also contained candles, Astroglide lube and Vivid Condoms.[18]
