GRLCVLT was founded in Los Angeles by Annaliese Nielsen in 2012.[1] The name of the group changes frequently based on inside jokes by members.[2] Girls Night In, Coconut Oil Friendship Club, and xIST (Intersectional Standing Together) are among the other names of the group.[3][4] The largest chapter of the group is the one in New York, which was founded by Remy Holwick in October 2014.[1][3]
