There is a variety of things that aren't helpful: | |||
1. Spamming, for example affiliate links. | |||
2. Creating fake articles. | |||
3. Publishing personal information not intended for the public, like birth names. | |||
4. Deleting things from an existing article without first talking to the original author. | |||
5. People might mean well but changing text from other authors stylistically often doesn't improve the articles at all - on the contrary. | |||
Obvious typos can be corrected without talking to the original author but you should always treat everyone with respect: the people you write about and the people who already created the text. | |||
Usually, it's helpful to create new articles, add new text to an existing article, or remove red links to movie articles that don't exist - this can be easily done with a [[User:Till Kraemer/script-redlinks.js|script]]. | |||
