Dockside Dolls was a North Carolina-based chain of strip clubs located in industrial zones.[1] It was co-owned by Winston Hines, Jerry Golding, and Jerry Reid.[2]
Graham, North Carolina
The Graham, North Carolina Dockside Dolls was opened in 1993.[3] In 1994, six police officers, who moonlighted as security guards at the club, were suspended for three days after photos of them posing with topless dancers emerged.[4] Due to crimes, such as assaults, brawls, drug overdoses, and underage drinking, allegedly occurring at the club since 1996, a year-long investigation was conducted, resulting in a civil nuisance suit and raid on September 3, 2004.[5] The investigation also led to the arrests of four dancers for offering undercover cops sex and drugs in exchange for money during a bachelor party at a nearby motel on August 31, 2004.[5]
Southern Pines, North Carolina
The first club in the Dockside Dolls chain opened in Southern Pines, North Carolina in 1990.[6]
Wellford, South Carolina
On August 3, 2000, the Wellford, South Carolina Dockside Dolls opened at what was previously the location of Nikita’s Playroom.[6] The club was burned by an intentionally set fire on January 28, 2002.[7] In January 2003, the location reopened as a Penthouse Club.[8]
