Early life

Zen is from Charleston, South Carolina and she is of Cherokee and Irish descent.[4] Her mother is high society and wealthy.[2] She never met her father, but has a stepfather.[2]

Zen attended college for three years and was in a pre-law program.[2] Her first job was training horses in South Carolina and she lived in a barn for 2 years while doing it.[5] Later on, she managed restaurants and bartended in Charleston for eight years.[2] She managed a Westin hotel restaurant for two years before managing an Italian Trattoria.[4] She later met her fiancé Trevor Zen, who owned a personal training studio.[4] He helped her become a personal trainer and she began working for him.[4]

Career

Zen danced at a Crazy Horse in Myrtle Beach for approximately six months.[2] While working during amateur night at a strip club, a porn star who was feature dancing there suggested she would be good at porn.[5] In 2001, she entered the porn industry.[5] She came up with her stage name during her first weekend in Los Angeles.[5] She and others gave a friend named Liz the nickname "lezzy Liz" for being bi curious, which was then misspoken as "Lezley Liz" after a night of drinking.[5] "Zen" went with her back tattoo.[5] Her first scene was in Serenity's Roman Orgy.[2][4] She has worked for Playboy, done softcore movies for HBO, Cinemax, and Showtime, and appeared on The Howard Stern Show.[4] Atlas Multimedia produced an official website for her.[6] She does not do anal.[7]

In mid-2005, Zen agreed to sign a one-year, non-exclusive contract for $6000 a month with PinkTV for her to host Match That Snatch, be the lead for Into the Mist, be featured on PinkTV Live, work in their private session rooms, and do one sex scene for their website each month.[3][8] She also planned to eventually become an executive at PinkTV.[8] Ultimately, she only worked for PinkTV for around three months.[8] A contract was never signed, and she considered suing due to disputes over her verbal agreement with PinkTV.[8]

Personal life

Zen has breast implants.[2] She has dated women since she was 15 years old.[2] Her and Trevor Zen have two children, who were born in the 1990s.[2][3] The four of them moved to Miami in June 2005.[3] She plays beach volleyball and golf.[5]
