Welcome!
Hello Novtes, welcome to Pornopedia and thank you so much for your great contributions! A few things to consider: We used to have a lot of red links in the articles because we thought we might create the missing articles eventually. However, especially in the filmography, it's not realistic to create millions of articles anytime soon (maybe with AI or some sort of automation, but I don't know right now). Because of that, I think it's better to only use red links when you plan to create those articles in the foreseeable future. For example, I do it with actors and sometimes studios, but usually not with movie titles. Existing red links can be removed easily with this script. In the article of Laura Angel, you removed some titles from the filmography, for example, Very Best of Laura Angel; I'm not sure why. Is it because it's a best of? We usually list those too. If you have any questions or suggestions, please let me know. Thanks, cheers and all the best, --Till Kraemer (talk) 07:18, 2 July 2025 (CEST)
- PS: I merged the filmography. --Till Kraemer (talk) 08:05, 2 July 2025 (CEST)
Thank you! Novtes
IMDb
Hello Novtes, thank you for your new contributions! I noticed that in the Aaralyn Barra article, you added the IMDb link to the official site section, where it now shows "IMDB Official website". How about I add a little IMDb icon where the social links are, and maybe one for the IAFD too, since they both are very cool websites. Thanks, cheers and all the best, --Till Kraemer (talk) 10:42, 5 July 2025 (CEST)
Filmography
Hello Novtes, I'm not entirely sure how we should format the filmography here. I think we should either combine DVDs and online movies under one level 2 heading, or we should separate them into two level 3 headings, like we do on the German Pornopedia. DVDs might not be a big thing for much longer anyway, but who knows? Thanks, cheers and all the best, --Till Kraemer (talk) 17:09, 5 July 2025 (CEST)
Template:Flag
Hello Novtes, you can now do something like {{flag|France}}
. New countries can be added by creating a template like this. Thanks, cheers and all the best, --Till Kraemer (talk) 19:40, 5 July 2025 (CEST)
Perfect! Thank you! Novtes
Categories and measurements
Hello Novtes, thank you so much for all your helpful contributions! It's great that you take care of so many articles! Categories like [[Category:Born 1989]] don't need to be added manually; they are added automatically by the date of birth template. Some older articles still have those categories (we didn't use the template back then), but they can be removed now.
Also, I'm sorry, a lot of measurements on Pornopedia are wrong. The bust size is the band size (something like the 32 in 32B) plus the cup; for a B cup, that would be a 2, so the bust size equals 34. There is a table with different sizes. I started to correct the measurements with a bot, but right now, it only works with inches, not with centimeters.
Have a great day! Thanks again, cheers and all the best, --Till Kraemer (talk) 15:24, 19 August 2025 (CEST)
References
Hello Novtes, thank you for adding templates and additional info to the articles! However, please do not remove any references like you did here. People put a lot of effort into adding them. If the references prevent the automatic categories from being added, you can add another template like I did here with Template:Hair color (there is also Template:Eye color). Thanks, cheers and all the best! --Till Kraemer (talk) 16:49, 22 August 2025 (CEST)
Category:American women
Hello Novtes, please don't change the category from Category:American women to Category:American like you did here. "American women" is a subcategory of American. I will revert all your changes. Thanks, cheers and all the best, --Till Kraemer (talk) 12:55, 23 August 2025 (CEST)
- PS: Oh, okay, sorry, now I see why you did it: Because they are trans. Hmm, but since they identify as women, they are also in the "Porn actresses" category, not in the "Porn actors" category. How about we make a new category called "American transgender women" like they have on the English Wikipedia? Thanks, cheers and all the best, --Till Kraemer (talk) 13:10, 23 August 2025 (CEST)
- I'm no expert on this topic, but the word "trans" seems to be quite as common as "transgender", so how about we keep it short and do categories like "American trans women"? Thanks, cheers and all the best, --Till Kraemer (talk) 13:25, 23 August 2025 (CEST)
- Yeah, I moved them because they should be in their own separate category Novtes
- I think it's good to talk about changes like that first, but I appreciate your suggestions. Now that we have those new categories, maybe it would also make sense to add a "Trans porn actresses" category. Thanks, cheers and all the best, --Till Kraemer (talk) 18:16, 24 August 2025 (CEST)
Indonesia
Hello Novtes, it looks like the text you deleted in the article about Indonesia was mostly from Wikipedia, so it's good to either delete it or rewrite it. You also replaced the examples of porn actresses with a link to the category. Thank you for that new category. However, I think both can exist in an article: A few examples of people who are from Indonesia in the article, and if you want to see the whole list, you click that category link. Kinda like in the pornographic actor article. An article about anything should somehow mention how it relates to pornography or sex, but it can also contain some other facts, for example, the estimated population of a city or country, as we also mention things like hobbies in an article about an actress. Please, in general, always be cautious of what you delete. Thanks, cheers and all the best, --Till Kraemer (talk) 14:22, 26 August 2025 (CEST)
- Because I was trying to make it similar to the other country pages such as Philippines or South Korea that just have a brief/minimal one sentence or two description about where it's located. And by comparison the DE country pages have a very brief simple description: https://de.pornopedia.com/wiki/Ungarn https://de.pornopedia.com/wiki/Indonesien --Novtes
- Thank you for the explanation! Articles are mostly short because we didn't have time to expand them yet, like most of the articles about actresses or studios. Usually, they should only be shortened or rewritten if there are copyright violations or if the info is wrong or not intended for the public. Articles can be pretty long if the text is interesting. I agree, though, that in the case of a country, we don't need all the historical data that appears on Wikipedia. A few facts are cool, though, and if there is anything that relates to porn or sex that can be included, too, and can result in a big article. Theoretically, this could be done with pretty much anything, like a chair or sofa, explaining how to have sex on it, or maybe there is a movie series that focuses on it that can be mentioned, etc. Think of Pornopedia as looking at the world through a sex lens :) Cheers, --Till Kraemer (talk) 16:11, 26 August 2025 (CEST)
