Carter Cruise (born April 24, 1991) is an American pornographic actress, DJ, producer and model.[1]
Early life
Cruise was born in Atlanta, Georgia, United States and raised in Cary, North Carolina.[1] She is of Cherokee, Scottish and Welsh descent.[1]
In 2009, she enrolled at the University of East Carolina in Greenville, North Carolina, majoring in psychology and pre-law.
Prior to becoming an adult film performer, she worked as a Hooters girl and lifeguard.[2]
In the summer of 2013, she began to work as an erotic photo model, and then decided not to continue her education and turned to the porn industry.
Career in the adult industry
Carter Cruise debuted in the adult industry in 2013.[1]
In 2015, she received the AVN Awards for Best New Starlet and Best Actress, becoming the second winner in the history of the awards, which received these two awards in the same year after Jenna Jameson in 1996.
On January 15, 2015 Cruise winning XBIZ Award for Best New Starlet. She said: “I was up against some incredible performers, many of who are good friends. I would have been just as excited to see them win! When they called my name I was in utter shock. I don’t think it really hit me until later, because in the moment it was so surreal.” Cruise also won XBIZ Awards for Best Actress in a Feature Movie for her performance in Jacky St James’ movie "Second Chances" (New Sensations), Best Actress in an All-Girl Release for her performance in "Lesbian Vampire Academy" (Hustler Video).[3]
Mainstream appearances
Cruise was the subject of an interview for Cosmopolitan magazine's website called "Sex Work", which profiles women who have careers in sex-related industries.
Carter Cruise made music as a DJ and in January 2015 she released her first single "Dunnit". In March of the same year, Cruise participated in the Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas, when she play her first show as a DJ.[2]
