Cruise was born in Atlanta, Georgia, United States and raised in Cary, North Carolina.[1] She is of Cherokee, Scottish and Welsh descent.[1]

Carter Cruise debuted in the adult industry in 2013.[1]
On January 15, 2015 Cruise winning XBIZ Award for Best New Starlet. She said: “I was up against some incredible performers, many of who are good friends.
