Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal (Nepali: सङ्घीय लोकतान्त्रिक गणतन्त्र नेपाल), colloquially known as Nepal (Nepali: नेपाल), is a sovereign state where the government has restricted access to pornographic websites after the sexual assault and murder of two minors in 2018.[1]

In July 2018 a Nepali 13 year old girl named Nirmala Panta and a Nepali 17 year old girl named Kalpana Bista were raped and killed in Bheemdatt and in Kailali District.[2] On October 4, 2018 the Nepalese Ministry of Communication ordered the Nepalese Internet Service Providers to block access to all pornographic websites in order to prevent violence against women.[1]
