History
Twistys was launched by Shap and Shapette on October 10, 2001 and based in the Bahamas.[1] The website's name came from a restaurant owned by Shapette's grandfather.[1] In March 2007, the website's name was trademarked.[2] That same year, YappoDollars became the first VOD provider to feature Twistys content.[3]
